Benjamin Thomas Lassiter is a Greensboro native who's come to live and work in Durham, North Carolina.

His days are filled with teaching students and his evenings are packed with practices and performances.

His work with The Mint Julep Jazz Band provides Benjamin with the opportunity to travel.  His work with his students at Russel Lacy Music and his private lessons keep him happy at home.

Benjamin has recently started his own Gypsy Jazz Band Six String Swing.  Playing weddings, private events and restaurants, the band hopes to respark the love of Gypsy Jazz.

Benjamin teaches students ages 7 and up.

While guitar and bass guitar are his primary loves, Benjamin also loves to learn and perfect his skills on piano, banjo, clarinet, violin & upright bass.

Currently Benjamin plays in The Mint Julep Jazz Band, Six String Swing, at New Horizon Church and accompanies on many jazz gigs around town.
